TJ Perkins

I'm TJ.
I was born and raised in Calgary, Canada, where I earned both my Bachelor’s degrees in History and Philosophy as well as a Master’s in Philosophy at the University of Calgary.

More recently, I completed my Ph.D. in Philosophy at the University of Utah under the supervision of Dr. Joyce Havstad. My dissertation, titled "Cultural Readiness and Theory Uptake in the Historical Sciences," develops a framework for understanding how cultural factors influence the scientific community's receptivity to scientific theories.

Currently, I live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where I am continuing my research and seeking a career in academic philosophy.
In my spare time, you can find me in the mosh pit of a metal show, fossil hunting, hiking, doodling in the pages of my sketchbook, or playing a good video game.
